discussions about god is too controversial and goes nowhere

but if you talk science, whos to say scientific proof is the TRUTH?
im not saying science is not trustworthy..but if you can "blindly" believe in everything about science that (imperfect humans who makes mistakes alll the time in the course of human history) developed, God is much more real than the science humans know about!

oh trust me, God is as scientific as you can get. at the end of the day, it was God who created gravity and science!

most scientists are Christians coz the more they scientifically prove things, the complexity and how things are 'just right' so that we don't die is pretty much impossible if it happens by chance if we're talking about probability..

it's like saying taking all the materials that a watch would need, put them together and started to shake it and hoping one day after some billion years, a watch would be made

i wouldn't say most scientists are christians....
it may be safe to say that about the western world but you can't assume that because half the world's population is in asia

with regards to science, i wouldn't say i blindly believe everything they say....
i know with science as one question is answered a dozen more arise
however i do acknowledge the fact that "gravity" as we call it exists because we live under these constraints everyday as well as other proven facts

cy-t, I'm not even gonna start because most places in Asia forbids to even talk about God. and what do you mean there is no absolute truth? when you say that there is no absolute truth you believe that that statement is an absolute truth such that there is no absolute truth...

Does God exist is not like an art question where different people have different opinion and there is no wrong answer.. its like a math question.. there is only one answer, it doesn't matter if you think you are right.. it is what it is.

when you say most places in asia i assume you are refering to china?
with that kind of statement i don't even have to say anything more

when i speak of "truth" i mean that a single statement may have many "truths" to it depending on how the reader or the audience interprets it...
there is no single correct answer

whether or not god exists there are always 2 answers depending on each person:
1. he exists
2. he doesn't exist

its a belief that can't be forced onto someone

you are right, people always have a choice to believe in God or not, I am not being narrow minded at all and i do acknowledge that others might not believe the things that I do. What I am doing here is just stating a fact, i'm not trying to force it onto anyone.. at the end, it is a choice you have to make, no one can force you to it.

i don't really believe in god... but i don't deny the possibility that god may exist either

god is an element of hope in which people seek when in despair
god is also a figure who unites people together i guess because as individuals we are imperfect but when we join together we try to help each other out to make up for those imperfections

i feel that people who don't believe in god at first won't believe in god until something happens to them at which point they will begin to believe and hope that god will be there to save them

there are different gods in the world.. where people worship for their own benefits.
But I think you are mistaken that people who believe there is a God are Christians, someone can believe a God exist but is not a Christian. Being a Christian doesnt mean that now your life is gonna be all great and you dont have to work hard and everything is handed to you.. it just meant that you established a relationship with God, and the Holy Spirit comes and lives in you....

Also, if you think of it, the gods that 'give' people what they want when they want it isnt that powerful either... since they're being used in a sense. But Im not getting how God can be a media for us to make up for imperfections?

I agree with you, a lot of times we believe we can do anything and all our accomplishments are the results of our own hard work. And when something happens out of our expectation or something happened that we can't explain or even our failures and hardships.. we tend to blame God for doing that to us because there is nothing we can do in those situations. I'd like to say more but i g2g now haha,,

i don't think i said believing in god meant to be christian...
if i did say it then i apologize because there are many different gods that people believe in

and to my knowledge god doesn't give... he is a creator....

I was commenting on the God bring people together part.. with the Christian thing, thats what I know more about.. so I just used that..

God is a lot of things: He is a creator, provider, father, molder, love, omnipresent, alpha, omega...etc
