my name is Prina and I'm Kiyo's friend =D
I would like to learn how to type chinese... lol..
um..

lol kiyo.. u dont have to agree with me that my post is so lame ... so straightforward...
the thing is.. im left handed..
so all the.. ordering of writing is wrong > >
so the stupid program wont get what im writing lol
once.. i tried to write a word but after more than 10 mins of trying i get like 100 cows and some other weird words.. i never get the word i want.. T T

and yep, tikii i just cant type ... haha i got.. 28/100 on my chinese typing test in hk years ago... i think im the only one who failed lol *cries

Well, if you can write characters, why not check out Cangjie (仓颉) and use the IME called Quick.

Or you could check out Q9 (九方) to type characters using the numpad to the right of your keyboard.

I tried learning it through a book, but I didn't understand Chinese, which made it quite difficult XD In the end, I sticked with Pinyin, even though I don't know Mandarin, it was a lot better, and I didn't have to remember the keyboard layout/buy a new k/b for it.

pinyin is more user-friendly for new learner
there are a few people that use pinyin here also~ like Jeff (you can ask him question~)

I personal use phonetic symbol, because I already get used to it

I agree that Pinyin is a lot easier on the learner as you only use the roman letters to type Chinese.

Cangjie can be quite hard as you have to remember the character, how it is written and how the system of cangjie works. Where as speaking is much easier to learn, even for westerners which makes typing it easier, too.

i never learn that.. does it base on mando or canto? is it in traditional or simplified chinese?
